There is no shortage of BBQ places in New York, but very few of them are truly outstanding. The 3-Legged Pig is one of these restaurants. We were taking a scenic drive around Conesus Lake and decided to give this place a try, and we were so happy we did. The food was fantastic, and the service was phenomenal.

Delicious Food
One of my favorite things is eating at Restaurants (or, more recently, ordering takeout from them.) The food at the 3-Legged Pig was nothing short of fabulous. They have a seriously extensive menu that has something for just about everyone, including kids. I ordered the Grilled Pull Pork and Cheese Sandwich, which came with a side of my choice. The 3-Legged Pig has a huge list of sides to choose from. I am a firm believer if you are ordering from a BBQ place, you always try to order as much of their specialties as possible. In this case, BBQ baked beans. My husband ordered the Carolina Style Pull Pork Sandwich, which came with two sides. These were enormous meals. I could not finish mine in one sitting, but I love having leftovers to enjoy later.
We also ordered two additional menu items because they sounded both unique and mouth-watering, deep-fried pickles and fried green tomatoes. We assumed that these were appetizers, and we were pleasantly surprised and delighted with the portions we were given, which were massive. All of our food was scrumptious, and we definitely will be going back to try more items off their lengthy menu.
Clean and Inviting Atmosphere
One of the things I think is most important when I am dining at a restaurant is cleanliness. I just feel that the dining area’s cleanliness reflects the kitchen’s cleanliness and the food’s freshness. Of course, this isn’t always the case, but it is one of my personal hang-ups. I found the 3-Legged Pig to be very clean, with lots of indoor (and some outdoor) seating. There is an enclosed deck on the side of the restaurant, where most of the seating is located. The ambiance of the restaurant is fun but not overwhelming. There are lots of pictures that line the walls that have cute sayings or funny scenes. Each table has been supplied with condiments and of course, a bottle of 3 Legged Pig’s own signature BBQ sauce.
Friendly Staff
The staff here were courteous and very helpful. They were exceptionally patient with us as we perused the menu and even offered suggestions. There were lots of people coming in to pick up their phones in order, the staff has a great system for checking them out and getting their food to them without the clients having to wait long at all. If anything, our food came out with lightning speed.
Extras
As I mentioned before, every table has a bottle of the 3 Legged Pig’s signature BBQ sauce. You can purchase a bottle at the register. It is a little steep at $8 a bottle, but it is definitely a superior BBQ when compared to those you can get in the supermarket.
