Bad to the Bone Barbeque

If you haven’t noticed, we love BBQ, and when we find a great BBQ place, we want to yell about it from the rooftops. This restaurant truly desires the hype, because the food is outstanding and the service is fantastic.

We visited after a long day of exploring, remembering it was on our way home. We were able to call ahead and order our meal to go.

(Full Disclosure-We make it a point to never tell anyone, at any restaurant that we are Adventures in New York because we want to have the same experience that you would have when visit.)

Delicious Menu Selections

Bad to the Bone Barbeque

While the menu at Bad to the Bone isn’t long, it has all the best barbequed and pit-smoked foods to satisfy your inner BBQ lover. We are especially fond of real chicken BBQs, which are popular during the summer but incredibly hard to find in the Winter. At Bad to the Bone Barbecue, you can order a 1/4 or 1/2 chicken either alone or as part of a platter with sides.

Patrons can also order several BBQ sandwiches such as beef brisket, pulled pork, or pulled chicken (also alone or as a platter.) or they can pull out all the stops and create their own meal with various smoked meats and sides. Don’t forget to grab a slice of cake while you’re there too!

My husband jumped at this opportunity and order this with sides of collard greens with smoked meats and fried okra, which he found completely delectable. I ordered the pull pork BBQ sandwich with baked beans and mac n’ cheese. It was heavenly!

Great Atmosphere and Friendly Staff

Bad to the Bone Barbeque

While the restaurant isn’t large, it has the most welcoming atmosphere. What particularly stood out to me was how immaculately clean it was. To me, these things are paramount in a restaurant, cleanliness, and a cheerful, warm setting, complete with a staff that is extremely friendly and accommodating.
