Vitale Park

This exquisite park is located on Conesus Lake in the town of Lakeville on Route 20A. This park was first created in 1991 when the Town purchased the land from a local resident, Joseph Vitale. Freedom Point was later added to the park in 2003.

Vitale Park

This truly is a lovely park to walk around in or relax by the lake. It is incredibly peaceful here and it was really nice just taking in the view and all the gorgeous and carefully manicured gardens.

Vitale Park

I think the most amazing thing about this park is the incredible view of Conesus Lake. The park perched right on the lake has numerous places to sit and enjoy the stunning beauty of this gorgeous Finger Lake.

Park Facilities

Vitale Park

Vitale Park is great for hosting a family picnic, graduation party, or just a get-together with friends. There is a large picnic pavilion that can hold up to 100 people. There are also picnic tables and grills located around the park. There are bathrooms, and a large playground kids will love.

If you prefer just to sit and relax and take in the beautiful garden or the spectacular view of Conesus Lake, there are benches, shaded swings, and gazebos all over the place. I personally loved rocking in the shaded swing that looked out over the Lake. If you need inspiration for a date night, this is actually quite a romantic location.

Walking

Vitale Park

Vitale Park is a great place to stretch your legs and take advantage of all the paved walking paths. These paths wander throughout the park, past the water, and through the gardens. The walking path is very stroller friendly and is a nice place to stroll with children.

The park is dog-friendly, provided your dog remains on a leash no longer than 6 feet. You are required to carry proof of rabies vaccination with you, and all dog waste must be picked up and disposed of.

Gardens

This park is one of those places that would work well for senior pictures or wedding party photos. The gardens, gazebos, and bridges are all very pretty and make splendid backdrops for pictures. Some of the gardens even have metal sculptures. If you are into flowers, you will love this park. There seems to be something in bloom all the time.

Fishing

There is a canal and a fishing pier; from what I understand, the fishing is quite good here. Conesus Lake has the following fish species: Alewife, Bluegill, Brown Bullhead, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Pumpkinseed, Smallmouth Bass, Tiger Musky, Walleye, and Yellow Perch.

Concerts in the Park

During the Summer, the park hosts music concerts every Sunday Night. If you want to relax and unwind while enjoying great music with an amazing view, this is the place for you. Bring a chair and enjoy the music from the lawn or pull your boat up and listen from the water. All the scheduled performances are family-friendly. View the concert schedule here.
