The Buffalo Museum of Science is an incredible science museum in the heart of Buffalo. This museum is perfect for families with kids who love dinosaurs. They have a great collection. An interactive exhibit that aims to show visitors not only interesting and unique historical items but demonstrates that people across cultures aren’t as different as you might think.

Biodiversity

The Buffalo Museum of Science has one of the best natural history exhibits around. Enjoy beautiful examples of animals representing the different environments and biomes around the world. This is a beloved exhibit for animal and nature lovers. The original bison diorama that was first installed in the museum in 1965 is still a favorite part of this fascinating exhibit. incidentally, the bison diorama was part of the international exposition in 1895.

Buffalo in Space

This exhibit explores Buffalo’s contribution to space exploration. Enjoy regional stories that focus on the City of Buffalo’s influence.

Bug Works

Everything you ever wanted to know about bugs but were afraid to ask. Walk through a beehive, learn about the insect life cycle, survival, and how they impact our life and our survival on planet earth. Learn about all the different types of bugs while viewing the museum’s extensive entomology collection.

Construct

Explore your inner engineer while designing, playing, building, and learning how structures come together. Build with whatever materials strike your fancy and use your imagination to create amazing projects.

Exploration

This fun interactive play area is meant to help develop little scientists to explore new concepts and ideas. This is a great place to bring young preschoolers and have a chance to watch them explore and learn.

Explore You

Get to know your own body and how to take better care of it. This hands-on interactive exhibit shows visitors the latest innovations in the medical field. Visitors can explore genetics, biology, and human anatomy in this fun and educational exhibit.

having fun playing with physics in this fun and educational exhibit that is totally hands-on and completely interactive.

Rethink Extinct

Journey back to the beginning of time and see the museum’s incredible prehistoric collection. See an intact prehistoric elephant bird egg and learn about extinction and how it impacts the earth and all the creatures on it.

Seymour & Stanley

Visit the two most famous and beloved members of the Buffalo Museum of Science, Seymour the Mastodon and Stanley the Albertosaurus.

Kellogg Observatory

Enjoy a night on the museum’s rooftop deck or take some time to view the cosmos through the museum’s fully restore Lundin telescope. The museum has regular viewing hours (weather depending) for patrons to enjoy some time looking at the marvels of space.
