Celebrate the harvest and fall by partaking in the Wayne County 26th annual Apple Tasting Tour. Wayne County is the biggest apple producer in New York State. You can take a fun journey around the county to the different apple orchards and try all the delicious apples, apple ciders, pies, and other yummy delights that make this tour so popular.

Fun Fact: Wayne County is the nation’s third largest producer of apples.

You don’t have to complete the tour in a day or even a weekend. Take your time and enjoy each unique location and explore the beauty of Wayne County. This year, an app has been created for your phone as well as a tour challenge for a fun interactive experience.

Family Friendly Autumn Fun

We had a great time visiting each destination on the passport. Along with being able to sample the many varieties of New York State apples, we enjoyed other farm-fresh favorites such as fried cakes, apple cider, and apple salsa, to name a few.

Many of these destinations are also cideries and produce their own hard cider. Although we had passed many of these apple mills and farm markets, this was the first time we took the opportunity to visit them. This is also an excellent time to purchase your pumpkins and fall decorations. It was a fun outing for the entire family and a great way to celebrate the harvest season.
