When you live in New York State, winter is inevitable. So we New Yorkers find fun ways to make those fridged months pass by. Ice skating is a favorite winter pastime and of course, is immensely entertaining. Sodus Point has a great ice rink that will make you wish winter lasted all year long.
Free Ice Skating
Of course, free is everyone’s favorite price. There are no skate rentals available there, however. For this particular rink, you need to have your own skates. You can buy gently used skates at places like Play It Again Sports.
Skating Rink
The ice rink is located is in Willow Park, which is a really nice park with the most beautiful surroundings to enjoy while you skate. Make sure you bundle up because this is an outdoor rink and can sometimes be pretty chilly with the wind coming off the lake. The ice rink is open daily from 10 am- 10 pm.
