The Memorial Art Gallery was founded in 1913 and has grown into one of the most respected art galleries in western New York with a large collection of fine art. Visitors will have the privilege of seeing art from all over the world and some dating back thousands of years, such as the museum’s extensive Egyptian collection.

From The Masters
Among the museum’s extensive collections are several paintings from some of the world’s most famous artists. Beautiful art from artists such as Winslow Homer, Claude Monet, Rembrandt Harmensz, Jackson Pollock, Henri Mattise, Paul Cezanne, and Georgia O’Keeffe. These are some of their most beautiful paintings in the Memorial Art Gallery’s extensive Portrait Gallery.
From History and The World
From the World
I think this is the part of the museum that I really enjoy the most. There is real history here. Ancient history. Journey to the second floor of the Memorial Art Gallery and find some of the finest art from all over the world and from history. See art from all periods of European history, Asain Art, Middle Eastern, and Islamic art.
From History
The gallery has extensive medieval and renaissance art and artifacts in its collection. I love visiting this floor because it is like visiting a history museum. The medieval collection has armor and weaponry, which is fascinating to view. They also have gorgeous ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome collections complete with an Egyptian sarcophagus.
