Keuka Lake State Park is located in the heart of the Finger Lakes. This beautiful and idyllic park is surrounded by hills and vineyards. Some of the oldest wineries in New York State are found on Keuka Lake, and visitors can take advantage of the many wine tours offered in the region and then relax on the sandy beach perched on the edge of Keuka Lake.

Although it isn’t really known for hiking, there are 8 hiking trails throughout Keuka Lake State Park. Several trails lead from the campground to the beach and boat launch. Keuka Lake Beach and Playgrounds
Keuka Lake State Park has two state-of-the-art playgrounds. One is located in the campground and the other is located in the picnic area above the beach.
The picnic area is quite large with hundreds of picnic tables and grills.
The beach is a large sand beach with sectioned-off areas for swimming. During the summer, lifeguards are posted on the beach. Swimming is prohibited when the beach is closed.

Keuka Lake has a large boat launch with several boat docks which can accommodate numerous boats launching at the same time. If you want to leave your boat docked at the boat slips located by the boat launch, you will need to make a reservation (as space is limited).
Visitors need to fill out a form to leave their boats tied to the docks.
There is a large parking lot to park your boat and trailer.
Camping at Keuka Lake State Park
The Keuka Lake campground has over 150 sites and is a very popular camping destination. Advanced reservations are recommended during the summer. We had no problem getting a reservation in the early fall. In fact, fall is a great time to camp at most of these state parks.
