As I have traveled around New York State, I have realized that there seems to be a distinct nostalgic love for the 1950s themed diners. We have stumbled upon quite a few in our travel, each fun, and unique dining experience. The B’Ville Diner was a fantastic place to enjoy a great meal and the ambiance of a bygone era.
(Full Disclosure-We make it a point to never tell anyone, at any restaurant that we are Adventures in New York because we want to have the same experience that you would have when visit.)

Great Food
Of course, it doesn’t matter how great the ambiance is if the food is terrible. After a year of genuinely disappointing restaurant visits (thanks to COVID-19 and the apparent decline in food quality everywhere we turned), we were delighted that the B’Ville Diner was among the few great places that we found where the food didn’t disappoint.
The B’Ville Diner has been serving incredible food since 1934, when it was just a simple dining car serving delicious food to the hungry workers of the nearby Morris Pumps Manufacturing Plant. Almost 90 years later, the food at the B’ville Diner is still nothing short of incredible, and there are so many options to choose from. The B’Ville Diner offers daily specials that are truly mouth-watering. However, if you are craving one of their specials, you better get there early as they sell out quickly.
Step Back Into the 50s
The restaurant is decked out in neon, checkers, and 50’s memorabilia and decor. The front section of the restaurant has the appearance of a dining car reminiscent of the original restaurant, and each booth has a jut box with songs that patrons can have played throughout the restaurant. If you have the chance, you can walk around the restaurant and appreciate all the little touches that bring back the very best of the 50s.
We chose this restaurant not just for its outstanding decor but for the ability to sit and enjoy a visit with an out-of-town relative who happened to be passing through. Our waitress didn’t hover but intuitively knew when we needed something. They didn’t even seem to mind that we were there for several hours. This restaurant was a great place to sit and enjoy a meal together and catch up.
