I loved smoked, well, just about anything. Naturally, we had to check out this restaurant & deli whose claim to fame is over 16 varieties of bacon. BACON! That definitely got my attention. We visited one day for lunch and enjoyed some incredible food.

Unique Menu
What really stands out about this restaurant is the unique menu. There are entrees available at the Saltbox Smokehouse that you can find anywhere else, and really that in itself is reason enough to try it. I was definitely torn as to what to order, there were so many delicious-sounding options.
I am what I would like to call a gourmet macaroni and cheese connoisseur. When I see it on the menu, I have to try it. The Saltbox Smokehouse offers a bacon mac n’ cheese. Let me tell you, it is delectable.
The rest of the menu consists of a variety of fantastic-sounding entrees. They often offer specials that aren’t always on the regular menu. When we visited, my daughter ordered a smoked ham and cheese quesadilla on the temporary menu for the day.

Friendly Staff and Welcoming Environment
The best part of this restaurant is how accommodating and friendly the staff is. I felt it the minute we walked through the door. We weren’t just welcomed, we felt like we were special guests.
This is a very relaxed dining experience, where you place your order at the counter, find a table of your choosing, and they Sbring your food to you. What I love about this restaurant is that it takes in every detail. Such as the paper the food comes out on is designed to look like a newspaper, but of course, isn’t.
There is a wheelchair ramp that leads into the restaurant making it accessible for everyone.
