The Aquarium of Niagara is an opportunity to explore and learn about some of the Earth’s most precious habitats, the water of the oceans, lakes, and rivers. The exhibits at the aquarium contain exceptional examples of aquatic life and are beautifully designed. Kids love visiting aquariums and this particular aquarium is on the small size but it will still be a thrilling experience for them.
Exhibits
The Aquarium of Niagara Falls has over 30 unique exhibits that give visitors an up-close and personal encounter with sea life of all varieties. These exhibits include the Penguin Coast, The M&T Bank Shark & Ray Bay, and the Aliens of the Sea jellyfish exhibit. The Shark & Ray Bay is a fun hands-on interactive touch tank that kids will love. There are over 120 species of aquatic life at the Aquarium of Niagara Falls. Enjoy watching live sea lion shows, seals, and penguin feedings daily.
Animal Encounters
There are several animals encounters that visitors to the Aquarium of Niagara Falls can purchase. These experiences must be purchased and scheduled ahead of time. These are incredible opportunities to enjoy an intimate encounter with some beautiful animals.
Seal Encounter
Go behind the scenes and learn about these fascinating creatures. Participants will learn about the care and training of the Aquariums family of rescue harbor seals while hearing each of their amazing recuse stories. Guests will be able to touch, feed, and interact with one of the Aquarium’s seals. Participants must be at least 8 years old.
Penguin Encounter
Get up close and personal with one of the Aquarium’s Humboldt Penguins. Learn about their care, training, and their unique personalities. Enjoy watching the penguins waddle around and take lots of photos with these adorable critters. Participants must be at least 8 years old.
Trainer for a Day
Spend the day with an Aquarium trainer and take a behind-the-scenes look at this fascinating career! Help the trainers prepare fish, learn about the animal’s medical care, participate in sea lion enrichment, and so much more. Throughout your day, you meet a rescued seal and sea lion, and visit with a Humboldt penguin! Includes a t-shirt, snack, and photos to remember your special day!
There are only two participants per session and participants must be at least 12 years old. Participants under 16 years old must be picked up by an adult. Parents and guardians cannot accompany the participant during the day but do have the option to watch activities that occur in public viewing. Reservations are available online.

Wyland Wall
A unique feature of the Aquarium of Niagara Falls is the Wyland Wall. There are only 100 of these hand-painted works of art in the world painted by the famous marine life artist Robert Wyland. Each of the walls is unique and people travel all over the world to see these masterpieces.
