B Forman Park is a lovely park that sits on the southern shore of Lake Ontario in the town of Pultneyville. In most ways, this park is much like any town park with pavilions for picnicking and playgrounds for the kids to play on. What makes this park something special is that it is one of the best places to catch both the sunrise and the sunset on Lake Ontario.

Sunrise and Sunset Viewing
The unique position of the park on the Lake gives visitors a clear and unobstructed view of both the sunrise and the sunset. We have had the opportunity to view both many times, and it is indeed impressive, especially with the light reflecting on the water. We have also found that this park is a great place to stargaze as there is minimal light pollution here. (although the sign says open from dawn to dusk, we have seen other people here stargazing as well.)
Walking the Shoreline
Whether you just want to relax and watch the lake or you prefer to take a stroll along the beach, this park offers you a beautiful place to do both. I have heard from numerous sources that this is a great place to search for sea glass. Swimming and fishing are both prohibited here. However, wading in the water is perfectly fine and just as good for cooling off.
Winter at B Forman Park
Wintertime is especially amazing at this park as the trees, rocks, and other structures on the beach are often covered with ice, creating the most incredible “ice sculptures.” The snow by the beach is also frequently covered in ice. If you decide to visit and see these beautiful ice formations, use extreme caution and stay off the rocks, as they are slippery and dangerous.
Picnicking
There are lots of picnic tables and grills around the park with great views of the Lake. 4 picnic pavilions are available to rent as well as a big house that has a full kitchen. The rental of this house is actually quite affordable.

B Forman park is located right on Lake Rd just East of Pultneyville.
