This is a lovely little trail that is tucked away in Pultneyville. This trail doesn’t take any real endurance or exertion to walk, but it is a great place to get out and enjoy nature’s beauty.

The Trail
The trail is not quite obvious when you first arrive. There is a water treatment plant that might make you feel like you took a wrong turn somewhere. If you walk over the wooden boardwalk and along the apple orchard. Head towards the back of the plant, along the fence. You will see an opening in the trees where a clear trail appears.
This is a simple hiking trail, very flat and wide. It is a little less than a mile in length, so like I said, not much exertion is needed to explore it. What I really liked about this trail was that it was covered in trees and felt like we were cut off from the rest of the world. This is a really pretty and peaceful place.
In theory, strollers with sturdy wheels can be used here, but remember that the trail can be muddy after it rains. This is a great place to take little ones for their first hike. The trail not being too long and the fact that it is flat will make it easy on them.
Pond
There is a small pond you can be reached by taking a short walk down an intersecting trail. When we visited in the late summer, the pond was almost dry. It was a very dry summer, but under normal circumstances, the pond is usually full. The trail around the pond isn’t as carefully maintained as the primary loop. When we visited there were a few trees down on the trail that we had to climb under.
Painted Stones
I have been noticing painted rocks appearing on different trails that we hike more and more lately. We noticed quite a few of these rocks laying in plain sight as we walked the trail. Kids will really love finding and collecting rocks. You can even have them paint their own to leave for others to find.
