There are plenty of hidden gems to discover in the Adirondacks if you are willing to drive down some roads less traveled. This particular gem is a waterfall that flows over several drops in a long flowing waterfall in the Branch River. It is spectacular and a perfect place to appreciate the insane beauty of the Adirondacks. I really adored this particular waterfall. Its raw beauty was just phenomenal.

Waterfalls
This waterfall is pretty easy to get to and see. The best view of the overall falls is from the top. You can pull off the road into the dirt parking area and see the falls from right there. There is a trail that leads off from the parking lot that will lead you down to the falls themselves. The trail was a bit muddy and had some huge puddles we had to jump over. The trail wasn’t difficult but it wasn’t an easy straight shot down either. Proper footwear here is a must.
This waterfall isn’t really great for swimming, but it is a great place to cool off and enjoy the cold water flowing over the rocks. The trail leads you out into more or less the middle of the falls. You can walk in either direction and enjoy a collection of smaller waterfalls that add together to create this gorgeous natural location. Up close and personal, the falls are full of huge boulders and it is unbelievably beautiful. It was autumn when we hiked down to the falls and the colors of the leaves made this location spectacular.
Blue Ridge Campground
If you are looking for a place to camp, there is a small campground across the street that can accommodate more or less any form of camping from tents to RVs. The campground has a playground, basketball court, tennis court, mini putt, horseshoes, and table tennis. This campground backs up to the Blue Ridge Wildness and is an excellent place to use for home base to explore the area. There are several stables around that have horseback riding available for visitors.
