Buntsy’s Neighborhood Food and Drink – Webster, NY

We had heard a great deal about Buntsy’s and their loaded milkshakes and decided that we needed to check it out for ourselves. This was our first real sit-down dining experience since the beginning of the pandemic. Let me tell you, It was just fantastic to get back out there and eat out. We couldn’t have picked a better restaurant to get back into our groove.

Great Food

We may have come for the loaded milkshake but we stayed for the delicious food on the menu. I originally had only planned on get a loaded milkshake. Then I got a load of their menu and that was a total game changer. Buntsy’s menu is loaded with a profusion of incredible dishes and having to decide on just one feels almost impossible and frankly, disappointing. However, I also know that my eyes are definitely bigger than my stomach and I can’t order everything I want to try.

I finally decide on the Crispy Pickle Poppers and Maj Mahal dry-rubbed boneless wings. I have to take a moment to pay homage to the Crispy Pickle Poppers. I ordered them not only because they sounded delectable but because they were a little unusual. They are dill pickles stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeños wrapped in bacon, rolled in an egg roll wrapper and fried. Yummy! And let me tell you… they really were absolutely heavenly.

My wings were quite tasty too but those poppers were truly the crown jewels of the meal. I had never had dry rubbed wings, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The aroma from my wings was amazing. I felt like I was suddenly in an Indian restaurant. My husband ordered Buntsy’s version of the garbage plate and thoroughly it. We did end up needing take-home containers because we were just too full to finish everything.

Loaded Milkshakes

Of course, the Loaded Milkshake is something that cannot be overlooked and is really one of this restaurant’s claims to fame. This is what drew us here and we were not disappointed. Honestly, the only downer about the loaded milkshake was that I could only pick one. These milkshakes are over-the-top lavish creations. These delicious concoctions come “virgin” or add alcohol to kick it up a notch. I enjoyed the Peanut Butter Nutter- Peanut Butter Shake, but that was only after a few long minutes of agonizing over my scrumptious choices. We will be returning to try the other shakes in the future.

Great Service & Atmosphere

One of the most important aspects of a restaurant to me is the atmosphere and the customer service. It doesn’t matter how good the food is if the staff is unhelpful and rude. Fortunately, this restaurant is staffed with some of the most friendly and helpful people around. Even with all the restrictions that Covid has placed on the restaurant industry, the staff at Buntsy’s were so pleasant and welcoming and I’m absolutely positive there were smiles under their face masks.

Although Buntsy’s is technically a sports bar, this is a great place to go for a family meal. We visited in the early evening, just as they were opening up, so I can’t personally vouch for what their nights are like there. From my standpoint, it was very family-friendly.

The restaurant was also spotless. My mother always used to tell me that the restroom will always tell you everything you need to know about the cleanliness of a restaurant. Good news, it was pristine!
