I recently visited Hosmer Winery, and I must say, it quickly became my top choice for wineries. From the welcoming and knowledgeable sommeliers to the delightful array of wines and the refreshing wine slushies.
On our visit to Hosmer, we were initially looking forward to trying their renowned wine slushies. However, our timing couldn’t have been more perfect as it coincided with Mother’s Day. To celebrate the occasion, Hosmer was generously offering complimentary wine tastings to all moms and pet moms. Being a mom myself, I joyfully embraced the experience. It turned out to be an incredibly delightful experience.
Wine Tastings
I thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting. We were given a laminated wine menu and a dry-erase marker and told to pick five wines to taste. Our sommelier, Brooke, made our tasting so much fun. She explained what made each of our wine choices unique and a little about the wine-making process. We even got to keep our glasses.
The staff at Hosmer truly seem to love what they do, which flows into the customer experience. We visited another winery after Hosmer, and I have to say that we were somewhat disappointed by our next stop. It turns out that we were extremely spoiled by our experience at Hosmer. The next winery felt stuffy, and the sommeliers weren’t nearly as friendly and engaging. There is something special about the atmosphere of Hosmer.
Wine Slushies
I realize that wine slushies might not be as sophisticated as wine, but they are absolutely delicious and refreshing on a summer’s day. Hosmer’s Wine Slushies are hands down the best I’ve had so far. On the day we visited, they had peach and strawberry available. I had the strawberry, and it was outstanding. Their wine slushies come in a souvenir plastic tumbler.
While you are there, take some time to enjoy your wine or wine slushie outside, taking in the beauty of the grape vines in the distance.
