Schutt’s Apple Mill has been a family tradition for my family since before I could walk. My dad would bring me here as a child and we would try a different apple cider every week during the fall. (Schutt’s was the place where real apple cider connoisseurs could try unique blends of cider.) This Cider Mill has grown over the years and has more to offer visitors than ever before.
The Cider Mill & Store
Schutt’s Apple Mill is a great place to bring kids. They can get a first-hand view of the cider-making process. (This is pretty neat for adults too!) The store is large and sells not only cider, apples, and Schutt’s delicious homemade fried cakes. There is a unique inventory of food items, crafts, and gifts.
Apple Picking
There are 16 different varieties of apples to be picked at Schutt’s Apple Mill. The apples ripen throughout the fall and therefore can be picked at different times. Picking is from 10 am – 4 pm daily.
Visitors can also pick cherries and raspberries in season.
Tasting Room
Schutt’s has, in recent years, stepped up their cider game and crafted their own brand of delicious hard cider. Guest can visit their tasting room and enjoy the varieties that they have on tap. They also stock hard ciders from other local cideries.
