One of the best parts of our adventures is when we stumble upon really cool places that we weren’t expecting, like this hidden gem located just outside Plattsburgh right along the highway. If you find yourselves in the northern Adirondack region near Lake Champlain, you owe it to yourself to take some time to explore this incredible free sculpture garden. We loved our visit to the Stone Ledge Sculpture Garden, and we know that you will too.

Art Created By Local Artists
The open field, owned and meticulously maintained by Jackie and Sabourin, is a place for local artists, mainly from SUNY Plattsburgh, to display their creations. There are all kinds of unique and creative sculptures that capture guests’ imaginations. Visitors can walk around and explore this wide-open area that sculptures every couple hundred feet. Many have markers that describe the artwork.
Constantly Changing Exhibits
The sculptures at the Stone Ledge Sculpture Garden are for sale, so as pieces are sold, the room is made for new pieces to be added to the garden. Also, occasionally, the pieces are moved around the garden; therefore, each visit can be slightly different from the last. If you are an art lover, this garden should be added to your must-visit list.
