Packard Cattle LLC, KQ Percherons & The Log Cabin Restaurant in Macedon are making this holiday season brighter with their magical winter festival that the whole family will love. Nothing illuminates the darkest month of the year more than festive lights. The Winter Festival of Lights takes that one step further, using horse-drawn wagons and tractors to take visitors through the light display.
The Winter Festival of Lights was even better than I even anticipated. I was really impressed with the number of light displays and the creativity of the lighted scenes. Little kids will especially love the fun Disney and animal-themed displays. My children are older, and they really just enjoyed walking through the colorful light.
Old Fashioned Family Fun
Who doesn’t love a winter wagon or tractor ride? This is the stuff holiday memories are made of. Kids will love riding through the magically lighted fields. Especially when there are so few places this year to really get into the holiday spirit. Make sure you bundle up because this is an outdoor event and it’s chilly out there.
Walking Wednesdays
You can explore the Winter Festival of Lights on foot on Walking Wednesdays. We visited on one of these nights, and it was fantastic. It has just started snow, and the lights reflected off the snow on the ground. It was definitely on the cold side, but it was worth being a little chilly to enjoy all the gorgeous.
